Hey I'm Karen!

When I turned 40, I realised there had to be more to life than long train commutes, toxic workplaces, and 60 hour weeks. I was working all over the UK as a business consultant specialising in leadership training and business processes.  And I. Was. Done.

I remember it like yesterday...

July 2018, the month I graduated from CNM.

In August I scraped by with just £77.50 from my first client—an 80-year-old lady with digestive issues. I thought discounting my fees was the key, convinced that newbies like me should play it safe. I cut rates for seniors and children by half, sticking to the college trained initial + follow up model.

That first client gave me the realisation that earning real money would require endless work, drowning in plan-writing, alongside all the marketing needed to find clients.

The struggle was real; sustainability seemed a distant dream, especially after leaving my full-time consultancy job. Desperation set in, something needed to change. So, I made a ton of changes.
